COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY IN BRIGHTON AND HOVE
I’m a registered Counselling Psychotherapist working in the Brighton area and I’d love to help you on your journey toward living an authentic life.
HOW I CAN HELP YOU
I work with individuals and couples and can provide you with a warm, confidential and safe space to explore, grow and heal.
Finding a therapist can be confusing and the therapeutic process mysterious. It is important to find a counsellor or psychotherapist with whom you feel at ease.
I offer a free 30 minute assessment session so that you can see if you feel comfortable talking with me and ask any questions you might have.
WHY COME TO THERAPY?
We have one life and therapy provides time and space for you away from the demands of the everyday to take time out, breathe and gather your thoughts.
As your counselling psychotherapist I can support you through challenging circumstances and ease the way to a more fulfilling life. Working together rather than struggling in isolation can give you new perspectives, open up possibilities for healing and change, and help you find satisfying solutions to your problems.
I provide a non-judgmental space for you to tell your story, express your feelings, be heard and feel understood. You will be safe to talk about concerns, memories, experiences, situations, dilemmas or fears. I can help you work through unresolved experiences, gain insights, explore possibilities, and use your strengths to catalyse change.
By raising your awareness of how your beliefs are influencing your decisions and limiting your potential you have the opportunity to adjust behaviour patterns that are blocking you from living fully and feeling satisfied. I will support you in becoming the director of your life helping you to know, accept and value yourself in relation to others.
We’ll use our sessions to explore and identify your thoughts, feelings and behaviours that shape your life. I’ll be listening and spotting patterns to uncover what is working well for you and what is not. Therapy will allow you to develop self-awareness and make conscious decisions so you can live a life informed of your choices.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FREE ASSESSMENT SESSION
Once you’ve made contact we will arrange to meet online or over the phone for a free 30 minute assessment session, where I’ll learn more about the issues that are affecting you and what you’d like to achieve in our sessions. I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions you have.
An assessment session is a wonderful chance to test drive what it would be like for us to work together.
How do you squeeze all that you can out of it?
- Arrive early enough to sit for a minute and gather your thoughts.
- Come ready with your questions for me (write them down beforehand if that helps).
- Be prepared to answer some questions.
- Think about whether you feel comfortable talking with me.
- Bring your calendar/schedule so that you can book your first session right there, if you are ready.
At the end of the assessment session, if you are happy to work together, we will agree the frequency of your sessions (usually weekly for 50 minutes) and make an appointment to begin counselling.
