Member of the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapists

About Me

I help individuals and couples of all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, genders and sexualities with relationship issues, communication, relational dynamics, life transitions, self-confidence and other challenges.

My broad training is in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, Psychology and Guidance. I have specialist training in relationship counselling and working with families and carers of addicts and currently work as relationship counsellor at Pavilions – Brighton and Hove’s Drug and Alcohol Service.

People describe me as a kind, calm and honest person. I’m wholeheartedly committed to my work as a therapist and continually expand my knowledge of psychology and psychotherapy to keep myself informed with the latest findings. I’m also passionate about music and have spent much of my life working in the music industry. My creativity provides an invaluable resource in my work as a therapist.

Over the years I’ve lived in many different parts of the world and gained a breadth of experience and understanding of cultural differences which has enriched my life in many ways.

I approach my therapeutic work with sincerity, empathy, respect and love.

ABOUT THERAPY

Humanistic Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy

What uniquely characterises this approach to psychotherapy is the commitment to working with the full range of influences that have informed your development and relationship to others and society.

As an integrative and humanistic psychotherapist I continually absorb into my work and thinking different areas of specialism and expertise, and use this breadth of thinking to help you relate to yourself and explore your own potential for living fully.

Humanistic and integrative practice centres on the collaboration between client and psychotherapist in exploring the explicit and implicit dynamics of the therapeutic relationship, and in using this relationship for the benefit of your self-understanding and self-acceptance.

I take into account the impact of the external world on your internal world, and we explore the significance of social, cultural and political dimensions of your experience as well as your interpersonal and developmental world.
